                                       Bangalore Space Expo 2016

A delegation of leading space industry experts from Australia will be in Bengaluru from 1-3 September 2016 for the 5th Bangalore Space Expo 2016 to be held at BIEC, Bengaluru.

 

As part of this visit, members of this delegation will be speaking at the Expo and meeting with key Indian Space Industry officials in the city. The delegation will include the following experts:

  • Alice Gorman – Senior Lecturer, Flinders University

  • Nicholas Lewis Moretti – Chief Technology Officer, Inovor

  • William E Barrett – Senior Vice-President, Asia Pacific Aerospace Consultants

 

Australia’s Consul General for South India, Mr Sean Kelly, said, “the visit of delegates from the Space Industry Association of Australia will help to strengthen collaboration between the Australian and Indian space science sectors and take forward work under the 2012 Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries on cooperation in civil space science, technology and education”. 

Speaking about the potential for enhancing collaboration between Australia and India, leading Australian space archeologist, Alice Gorman said, ‘this science of space archaeology is an area that offers enormous potential for collaboration between Australia and India. Flinders University has in recent weeks has signed agreements with three Indian institutions that will open up enormous opportunities in the sciences’.

 

Mr William Barrett, Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific Aerospace Consultants (APAC) will be presenting at the World Space Biz 2016 on Saturday 1st September 2016 at 11.30hrs. Mr Barrett’s talk “Space Transformation in the 21st Century and Australian Space Capabilities” is based on APAC’s recent report to the Australian Government “A Selective Review of Australian Space Capabilities” which is available for download at,
